Pete Fraser Talk

Pete Fraser, a media teacher who has been in the industry for over twenty years, came in today to talk to us about making music videos. He informed us of what it successful and what is unsuccessful in the exam board's eyes. He gave us all tips on how to succeed in our work and I found ours very helpful. Fraser told us to get as far away as possible from Paramore when we create our digipak and shoot our music video - for example, Ellie should not act like Hayley Williams whilst performing.

During the talk, he showed us a variety of different high-marking student videos. My favourite video was called 'Pop Culture'. This video showed us the full extent of how the editing process of production can enhance the original footage. The video was a clever social commentary on fame, the state of the music industry and its many pressures.

Pete Fraser's talk helped me get more motivated to begin shooting our music video and to remain on task to create the best music video we possibly can.

I have embedded Fraser's presentation in case I need to go back and remember some of his tips during production.
