Aside from already adoring the student's song choice, I loved the clever effects and quick cuts featured in this A2 final music video. The setting is also very professional, slick and suits the song well. However, I do believe that the video could be even better if the students chose a wider variety of settings as the plane bunker does get a little dull as the video progresses.
Again, aside from being one of my favourite songs by The Neighbourhood, I love the black and white stylish look of the video. The projection of videos on the bodies is also right up my street. To the improve their video further, the students could have chosen a wider variety of shots during the performance section and could have elected a more enthusiastic vocalist to front the band.
I love this student music video as the performer fits the voice of the vocalist perfectly and the scenes featured also relate to the discomforting beat of the track. The practical and edited effects are also used extremely well - especially in the close-up eye flashback shot.
All of these students videos have made me begin to think a little outside of the box for ideas to incorporate into our A2 final music video.
